Tail Pulley

Tail Pulley is the terminal at the end of the conveyor opposite the normal discharge end. It is usually an idler pulley but may be a drive pulley. tail pulley is contained within the belt and helps it to rotate freely around the ends of the conveyor. It is generally free-spinning, with bearings mounted either inside or on the ends of the tail pulley.

Return/Tail Pulley – A Conveyor Pulley used for the purpose of redirecting a conveyor belt back to the drive pulley. Tail pulleys can utilize internal bearings or can be mounted in external bearings and are typically located at the end of the conveyor bed. Tail pulleys commonly serve the purpose of a Take-Up pulley on conveyors of shorter lengths.
